The San Vito S1
Hailing from Brazil, the San Vito S1 is the creation of Vito Simone, a retired designer from Ford.
Mr. Simone founded his own aftermarket auto accessories company, specializing in aero-kits called "Personal Parts" but always wanted to build his own car. The project was started in 2005 and, by 2009, the S1 made its debut at the San Paolo Motor Show.
The S1 was built with tubular chassis with a mid-rear engine layout. It is 3.74 m long, 1.70 m wide and 1.15 m high, with 2.16 m inter-shafts and only 930 kg in weight.

The S1 is rear-wheel drive. It features 225/40 ZR18 tires front and 235/40 ZR18 at the rear, both sets are on 18" wheels. The engine is the well-known VW AP 1.8, enhanced with a turbo. With the extra boost, it reaches 150 bhp at 7,000 rpm and only uses alcohol.
The performance released by Simone is attractive: 220 km/h maximum, 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 s and consumption of 6 km / l in the city and 8 km / l on the road.
The designer used the windshield and glass of Toyota Celica, reduce costs.
