Welcome to Rare Component Cars.
This Blog is devoted to specialty cars, kit cars, replicas, home builds, and fiberglass "Specials" from throughout automotive history. It focuses on the rare and unusual from the beginnings of fiberglass cars, in the 1950's, up to the present day, featuring makes from all over the world.
There's a bit of history behind this, for me, your humble author. In the early days of the "World Wide Web", I started a publication of the same name which was hosted on priceofhistoys.com and GeoCities. This online magazine started as a hobby and eventually led to my career as a software developer. Over the years, the rigors of my job got in the way and the project became dormant. So now, I am reviving it.
